It is my understanding that the VPN host / server is built into the FIOS router just the same as it was with the Linksys router prior to the switchover. So therefore Im configuring a windows 7 vpn adapter to connect to it. The only reason that Im attempting to use IPSec is because that is my only option for configuring an incoming VPN connection, see the the first screen capture attached i've only have 50:50 fios a month, but have already used a vpn in a vm, off a pc tap, and off my router's firmware, and thus far have not found any additional issues beyond those already native to vpn use itself. 18/07/2016 · The appropriate way to configure the Verizon FiOS ActionTek router for L2TP/IPSec is as follows.
